We are currently seeking a MDW Senior Technical QA Technical Analyst to join our team in Albany, New York (US-NY), United States (US).
Job Overview:
The MDW Senior Technical QA Analyst will report to the Medicaid Data Warehouse (MDW) QA project manager and work with a team of MDW business and quality analysts to perform project documentation reviews related to on-going changes, improvements and maintenance for the MDW. The MDW was created as a central repository for all New York State Medicaid data and is one of the largest and most technologically advanced healthcare data and intelligence platforms in the United States. It contains more than six billion Medicaid claims and encounters and supports more than 1,500 users. The system allows for self-service ad hoc queries, data extraction and analytics reporting.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Review, identify, and document quality assurance (QA) issues and recommendations relative to the implementation and maintenance of the MDW technical architecture
- Review MDW vendor project artifacts throughout the system development life cycle for quality, compliance, and completeness, documenting the observations and findings using standard checklists and comment matrices
- Artifacts reviewed include, but are not limited to: Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), Project Assessment (hour estimates), Project Design Documents (PDDs), Project Change Requests (PCRs), Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs), Test Packages, and Billing Invoices
- Review for Disaster Recovery Plan and Testing Results, vendor Technical Design Documents, Transition Plan and Transition Strategy Documents (TSDs)
- Perform technical reviews for appropriateness of change request assessment hours
- Backup resource for monthly Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance reviews
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Three (3) or more years' experience in quality assurance or auditing, conducting reviews of various system development life cycle documentation using the Waterfall process, project and technical architecture design artifacts against pre-defined processes, standards and criteria
- Minimum Three (3) or more years' experience in planning, executing and/or documenting SIT, Regression, Unit and/or QA testing in a Waterfall driven environment
- Minimum Three (3) or more years' experience working with the Medicaid data warehouse using reporting tools and performing analysis using SQL
- 50% on site in Albany, NY, until further notice
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications including Office, SharePoint and Teams
- Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in written form, to collaborate and engage as a high performing team member with the QA team as well as client and/or vendor representatives
