We are currently seeking a Networking Senior Analyst - Smart Hands Support to join our team in New York, New York (US-NY), United States (US).
This role will provide Smart Hands Break-Fix support for networkequipment in IT closets at various campus/site.
**This role requires working onsite daily at our client's facilityand requires employee to be fully vaccinated on or before start date, to the extent required by applicable law.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the remote resolution team to provide smart hands support on site
- Networkgear Hands & Eyes support
- Perform on-site visual verifications
- Reset cables, cable replacement
- Rack/un-rack of physical networkcomponents
- Move, remove, swap or replace network equipment
- Replace ports, module, fans
- Networkequipment resets
- Power cycling, module/disk insertion/reset
- Provide console access, assist remotenetworkteam on break/fix issues for network devices
- Extensive travel throughout New York City
Basic Qualifications:
- 3 years of networking experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Personal vehicle for travel between sites
Additional Preferences:
- Availability for on-call rotation
- Should have Basic knowledge of Networks and Networking Devices
- Should know how to Console to the devices
- Should know about resetting the cables, rebooting the devices etc
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
- Technical experience, technical aptitude
- Net Certification
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Detail oriented
