What are the responsibilities and job description for the TEMP IT Computer Prof Advisor position at NTT Data Services?
In this role you will be responsible for:
Work in a primarily VMware hosted Microsoft Windows Server 2012 / 2019 (as well as physical servers) environment ensuring availability and performance for our client.
Assist with planning, designing, and deploying Windows 2019. Directly support Windows server administration functions and Active Directory.
Working with Storage Engineering to provision SAN & NAS storage to servers.
Managing Server security best practices related to user and resource access, vulnerability management, etc.
Support Operating System provisioning / patching infrastructure.
Participate in cross-functional teams and help debug system issues across the infrastructure. Consult on various projects.
Following ITIL processes including Change, Incident, Request, and Problem Management.
Position's General Duties and Tasks
Perform tasks associated with projects and operational support.
Attend project and staff meetings as required.
Work with other staff members on various Windows related responsibilities.
Hardware installations in local data center.
Requirements for this role include:
8-10 years’ experience supporting Windows and Linux infrastructure at a senior level.
Strong knowledge of Virtualization, Networking, and Storage related to Server provisioning and administration.
Active Directory and DNS configuration and administration knowledge.
Ability to work with cross-functional matrix-managed teams.
Preferences: -
Ability to communicate (oral/written) effectively to exchange information with our client.
Systems Administration/Engineering Certificates from Microsoft, VMware technologies. Experience supporting IT Infrastructure for a Healthcare company.
ITIL Certification
Required schedule availability for this position is Monday-Friday (08:00am to 05:00pm EST). The shift timings can be changed as per client requirements. Additionally, resources may have to do overtime and work on weekend’s basis business requirement.
