NTT Data's client is currently seeking a Technical Project Manager - Data Engineering to join our team in IRVING, Texas, United States.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. An independent executor. Capable enough to understand the technical aspects of a Data Engineering project completely.


  2. operates autonomously with minimal necessary oversight. expected to manage a complex program cross-cutting across products, scrum teams, and/or technologies from inception to delivery.

  3. a complex program is one that engages multiple functions across the enterprise and may involve dependencies. have the right inspection mechanism for tracking and delivering the program.

  4. champions continuous improvement by ensuring that processes, programs, projects, etc. are measurable and have clear success criteria, and leverages learnings to mitigate risk.

  5. proactively manage the end-to-end delivery of engineering work for assigned scrum team(s)/project team(s) and all dependent teams.

  6. hands-on prior experience on data technologies, e.g., etl/big data etc. experience on etl transformation with data governance/ data lineage/ data cataloguing/ meta data etc will be a definite advantage.

  7. responsible of project from inception to completion (including kick off, capacity planning, dependency management and execution) for up to 2-3 teams.

  8. fully understand current team's product feature, technology stack, architecture. establish technical credibility to drive constructive discussions with the engineering teams.

  9. perform existing organization processes (adherence to sdlc processes, compliance, legal requirements).

  10. familiarity with current standard workflow management tools (jira, confluence etc).

  11. strong planning, organization, and disciplined execution skills.

  12. diligence in execution and management of regular agile routines

  13. strong verbal and written communication - stakeholders communication, status reporting.

  14. be curious to identify opportunities every day and everywhere, find root cause and provide solutions, identify automation opportunities, and optimize processes.

  15. expected to successfully deliver a program that is cross cutting across products, scrum teams and/or technologies (including digital, backends and external 3rd party vendors)

  16. prepare believable and achievable plan (budget, timelines, and resources). have the right inspection mechanism for tracking and delivering the program.

  17. responsible for managing all aspects from inception to completion (conceptualizing, intake, capacity planning and end to end execution for a large program)

  18. ensure program stays on track (budget, timelines, and resources).

  19. proactive risk identification and management.

  20. deep dive to understand the root cause of the problem and work on permanent resolution.

  21. strong verbal and written communication - you communicate role up of project issues and status in a concise, accurate, and professional manner for senior leadership.

  22. focus on customer experience, features that is cutting across multiple domains and teams. participate in product strategy and drive product roadmap.

  23. focus on bringing shared understanding by using concepts like story boarding, mapping, pi planning, scrum of scrum, okrs.

  24. measure everything (productivity, teams' performance, issues, root causes)

  25. 7-10 years of experience, with a software engineering background

  26. prior hands-on experience in data engineering

  27. project/scrum management and shipping software to production

  28. experience in working in an agile operating model, with working knowledge of agile tools (jira/rally)

  29. analytical systems thinking skills.
Basic Qualifications:

5 years of experience in Agile / Scrum

1-3 Years of experience in Data Engineering
