We are currently seeking a Visual Information Specialist to join our team in Washington, DC, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).

The senior visual information specialist (VIS) will design/develop multimedia and interactive training, appropriate graphics, video, and assist with creating training materials and job aids for the courses, using government provided systems and software. Works with the Subject Matter Experts and Instructional System Designers (ISDs) to translate the learning objectives into meaningful visual representations appropriate to the instructional level of the courses/training. May also design and maintain high quality professional branding for the client, design and implement the overall look and format for written products and other media, such as reports, presentations, websites and brochures, utilizing highly professional standards for visual content. May design and implement various graphics such as charts, tables, diagrams and photos, to display visual content within written products and other media to support the ISDs. Finally, may work with the client's SharePoint and Blackboard specialists to develop and implement visual designs for web-based content and products and work collaboratively with the client's staff to create and implement visual designs that convey the necessary information, clarifying design issues and thinking creatively to produce novel ways to present information.

The VIS applies a higher level of technical expertise than Graphic Designers and Specialists in areas of online course design, highly compelling computer-generated drawings, illustrations, and animations for web-based courseware, interactive simulation, virtual representation, video production and editing, 2D and 3D modeling, and other multimedia training materials to assist in developing relevant and engaging training through compelling visual effects and storylines.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of experience developing/designing multimedia and interactive training(s) to include videos, graphics, and training materials.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience working with tools and programs necessary for developing dynamic and compelling products, reports, presentations, websites and brochures.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience using/supporting/leveraging SharePoint and/or Blackboard
  • Minimum 8 years of experience developing online courses with interactive simulation, virtual representation, 2D and 3D modeling, etc. is desired but not required.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Top Secret clearance required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree
