Job Details
- Manage, develop, and lead the accounting department in the analysis and delivery of timely and accurate financial information.
- Lead the accounting department in the implementation and monitoring of internal controls and facilitate external audits.
- Work closely with management in the analysis of financial, operational, and key performance metrics to assist in the business decision making process.
- Engage with leadership in other departments to foster strong collaboration, transparency, and teamwork within the division.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to develop effective, efficient, and reproducible processes that produce performance results within the department.
- Utilize emotional intelligence to build strong communication, trust, and a productive work environment in the department.
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise in the areas of financial reporting, accounting procedures, and business analysis.
- Fosters an environment that promotes Nucor’s culture and encourages continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
- Leadership/Supervisory Experience
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Manufacturing experience
- Willing to relocate for future advancement opportunities
