What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Manager position at Numerator?
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare reports and gather data necessary to complete the Federal, State and Foreign tax filings.
- Lead the review of the US Consolidated, State and Foreign income tax returns prepared by external tax providers on an annual basis.
- Work with internal and external tax partners to compute income tax provisions on a semi-annual basis.
- Maintain Tax Calendar to ensure all tax reporting and compliance requirements are completed accurately and in advance of established due dates.
- Respond to requests from internal/external business partners on tax-related matters and provide guidance on taxability of products and/or services.
- Assist the Director of Accounting and Global Controller in due diligence efforts in connection with potential merger, acquisition, and divestiture activity.
- Support the Global Controller with developing and implementing the company’s accounting principles, practices, and procedures to attain the goal of process excellence
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Prepare and/or review monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations for tax-related accounts.
- Monitor key performance indicators and variance analysis on P&L and balance sheets.
- Serve as an integral member of the NA Tax team for our Kantar parent company to ensure Kantar tax compliance requirements are met and to communicate potential issues that might warrant parent company guidance and/or resources.
- Interface with external auditors for audit requirements.
- Managerial responsibilities will depend on experience and may include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain an effective organization through the selection, training, compensation, and motivation of any direct reports.
- Provide guidance and direction to any direct report to ensure adherence to all company policies, departmental procedures, and legal requirements.
- Motivate, mentor, and manage any direct reports through deployment of Company people development tools.
