Description
This is a 3 month contract position.
Maintain legal compliance and promote equality and fairness in the application of HR policies and procedures while maintaining the employee handbook.
Advise Line Managers and manage dispute resolution, grievances, progressive discipline and terminations.
Coordinate and report in line with federal and state requirements including but not limited to EEO-1, Vets 4212, Affirmative Action Program (AAP).
Oversee the evaluation, classification and rating of occupations and job positions.
Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as Title VII with equal employment opportunity, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Americans with Disability Act (ADA), Workers Compensation and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.
Handle employee queries and provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.
Coordinate and manage competitive and compliant benefits (medical and 401k) including annual renewals with a focus on providing the best possible benefits to help maintain and recruit employees, make presentations during open enrolment with contracted benefit providers and maintain positive working relationships with providers.
Promote opportunities to enhance employee engagement ensuring HR process adherence.
Support embedded recruitment processes to optimise sourcing and selection of talent whilst seeking opportunities to reduce recruitment costs and developing talent pools to meet future workforce planning requirements.
Provide an excellent onboarding experience for new starters ensuring appropriate inductions are delivered and to ensure I-9 process compliance.
Ensure all administrative HR activities are completed diligently aiming for 100% accuracy and on time delivery in line with HR Process Manual.
Manage changes to terms and conditions diligently including flexible working, change to roles, and changes to remuneration.
Effectively support the Site meet audit requirements relating to HR.
Coordinate training and development on Site as required.
Support, train line managers and manage performance management on site to ensure effective reviews are completed to target dates.
Develop knowledge to be HRIS expert and use the system to manage employee data and manage/ coordinate the weekly payroll.
