Nussbaum has new opportunities for experienced flatbed drivers! You’ll earn $1,750 avg. per week, enjoy full benefits, and get weekly home time. Plus, we’re offering a $5,000 transition bonus to help you settle in. See below for details:
Flatbed Driver Pay
This data is taken from our current flatbed fleet.
- $1,750 avg. weekly earnings
- Pay range: $1,600 - $1,925 per week (varies based on miles, activity/oversize pay, bonus scores, and driver skills)
- $1,600 weekly guarantee – if your miles are short due to a delay, breakdown, etc., you’ll still earn the guaranteed amount.
- Earn $85,000 your first year and $93,000 your second!
Additional Pay Features
- $5,000 Transition Bonus – $1,500 after your first week & 3 months, $2,000 after 6 months
- Activity Pay
- $30 for load pick-ups, deliveries, and stop-offs
- $70 for tarping
- $40 for Brandt step deck loads
- Oversize Load Pay
- Tier 1 (less than 10’ wide): $0.10/mile & $50 flat, per load
- Tier 2 (10’ to 12’ wide): $0.15/mile & $75 flat, per load
- Tier 3 (> 12’ wide): $0.20/mile & $100 flat, per load
- Detention & Layover Pay
- Paid Orientation at Nussbaum – we also cover transportation, private hotel room, and on-duty meals

Job Requirements
- Valid CDL-A
- Minimum age - 21
- No more than 3 moving violations or preventable accidents in past 3 years
- Meets all other Nussbaum safety requirements
- Flatbed driving involves lots of heavy lifting – expect in-depth driver touch freight. Also involves lots of tarping, load securement, and some oversize/open deck loads
