Responsible for supervision of Regional environmental programs.
•Carry out site inspections and ensure legal compliance to applicable environmental legislation is maintained Report and track inspection findings and corrective action items utilizing an online tecnology platform
•Supervision of LDAR program an assist with other aspects of the air compliance program
•Enter GHG and other environmental data into company data management system
•Assist operations in scheduling contractor support for LDAR, Source Testing and CEMs compliance
•Preparation and oversight of reports to internal departments and external agencies
•Ensure that facilities are in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulatory safety and environmental standards and policies
•Support operations/field personnel, as required, to include regularly providing guidance on programs, policies, practices and procedures
•Provide guidance to projects and operations to ensure compliance with the regulations and/or permits
•Evaluate results of regulatory compliance inspections and provide assistance in responding to issues identified
•Perform all duties following established safety guidelines
•Maintain internal relationships including but not limited to the Legal, HSE and Operations departments on a frequent basis and the Engineering and Technical departments on an occasional basis
•Report to leadership inspection data, analysis and trends in order to proactively address environmental and safety issues
•Assist with NuStar Safety and Environmental Management System compliance and continuous improvement efforts
•Maintain external relationships with various industry partner trade groups and regulatory bodies
•Other duties may be assigned
- Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science/Engineering or BS Chemical Engineering required; equivalent related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in multimedia safety and environment and/or auditing mid-stream terminal/pipeline and refinery/petrochemical facilities or related experience required.
- Overall understanding of terminal, pipeline, and refinery operations and applicable regulations.
- Knowledge of GHG, LDAR programming, Source Testing, Emergency Response Plans, RCRA Waste, Wastewater, Storm Water, Air and Safety regulations, programs and regulations including VOC monitoring program, water program, RCRA program, 6B NESHAPs, and tank seals.
- 60% travel is expected
This position will require an individual to hold a valid drivers license.
This position will require an individual to hold a TWIC card.
When a higher-level position exists candidates with greater qualifications may be considered for the position.
The salary range for this position is $116,500 to $174,700 and represents the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. Position title and pay vary by work location and are also determined based on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications and experience.
