Job Summary

A key asset in the future growth of the company, this individual will lead the forecasting efforts at Nutraceutical and will be responsible for interacting cross-functionally with operations, finance, sales, and marketing to drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy. Drive efforts to positively impact out-of-stocks, sales, margins, and provide ideal targeted production goals to the operations group. To be successful in this position, the candidate will be adept at cross-functional communication, data analysis, statistical modeling, and highly proficient in Excel.

Essential Functions

  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis, monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  • Learn and leverage capabilities of ERP system. Drive process by proactively learning ERP and complementary systems to better automate data extraction and presentation.
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance.
  • Develop and evaluate forecasting models that consider promotional activity and other sources of information resulting in positive or negative impact on product demand.
  • Supervision of Demand Analyst(s).
  • Familiarity of industry trends; coordinate with other departments to evaluate sales movement by product categories and by sales channels.
  • Responsible for leading the monthly Consensus and S&OP meetings.
  • Integrate demand forecast into financial budget modeling.
  • Drive continued forecast and process improvement through cross-functional team involvement.

  • Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or Data Sciences; MBA highly preferred.
  • 6 years forecasting experience.
  • Nutritional supplement industry or consumer packaged goods experience preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Must be familiar with data warehousing concepts and procedures.
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated.
  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear.
  • Employee must exert up to 30 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
