About Our Homestead Terminal
The Homestead Distribution Terminal opened in August 2005 and employed seven full-time employees. This Nutrien location stores and distributes anhydrous ammonia, which is moved inbounboth truck and rail cars and outbound by truck. Our facility is also responsible for the reacting of 10-34-0, which is distributed by truck, and various Dry products offloading by rail, stores and distributes by trucks.
About Our Operator Position

Reporting to the Terminal Supervisor, this position is responsible for maintaining the safe and efficient operation of the ammonia terminal area. The role includes handling shipments both incoming and outgoing product fertilizers, recording data, and making operational corrections as required.
What you will do:
- Operate and monitor equipment
- Operate computerized and non-computerized control systems
- Perform terminal site maintenance
- Troubleshoot and analyze all types of rotating equipment
- Record and enter data readings
- Measure ammonia product and manage daily inventory
- Load product onto trucks through pump and piping systems
- Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers
- Adhere to local, state, and federal governmentregulations and standards
- Unload Ammonia rail cars and trucks
- Unload dry rail cars
- Load Dry hoppers for truck loading dry products
What you will bring:
- Minimal experience required; on-the-job training provided
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license required
- Strong safety-focused mindset
- Possess intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Interest or experience in operating heavy equipment, including forklifts, aerial lifts, front-end loaders, tractors, and track-mobile
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Team-oriented, self-motivated and reliable
- Willingness to learn with continuous improvement and a positive attitude
- Available for overtime and "on-call" rotation to support the Terminal during non-typical working hours, as required
- Must be willing to occasionally travel for training courses and/or to assist at other terminals
- Must live within a 25-mile radius of the site
