Job Description
A. Summary of Job Purpose:
An MRI Technologist works under the direction of a radiologist utilizing high and low field magnetic field in the form of resonance scanning equipment/scanners and other high-tech imaging equipment. These Technologists are graduates of 2 or 4 year programs. MRI Technologists must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensed by the State of New York. Population served based on scope of services in the department.
Essential Job Qualifications:
Education: License:
Graduate from an A.M.A approved school of Radiologic Technology with additional training in MRI scanning.
Experience:
1 year experience required . A.R.R.T. (MR) preferred
NYS DOH IV Certification preferred
40 hours per week
