What you’ll be doing
The Sr. Manager, IT Applications will be responsible for providing end-to-end application management with a focus on planning, building, supporting, and vendor management for different IT programs and business initiatives.
This position will be required to lead implementations, build business relationships, and support systems for various business functions. The individual must have a solid understanding of cloud-based solutions and applying SDLC guiding principles to implement the solutions.
You will be responsible for…
- Leading system implementations for R&D, Commercial and other business functions
- Drive RFP process for selection of software vendors, system implementors, service providers, etc.
- Manage contractors, vendors, and may be required to manage internal staff
- Design, plan, and implement application support structures using managed services and/or contactors for various platforms
- Manage budgets related to applications, service providers, and contractors/consultants
- Establish and maintain outstanding working relationships with internal business functions (Clinical, QA, Commercial, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, etc.)
- Act as the single point of contact for the specific applications; work with the business in defining system roadmaps
- Manage engagements with different vendors to ensure that vendors are meeting the expectations as defined in the contract
- Ensure that the business requirements are understood by the vendor and all deliverables meet the planned objectives in terms of time, cost and quality
- Design software release management process for cloud solutions
- Manage and co-ordinate different status meetings with the different stakeholders
- Act as an escalation point for issues related to application integrations and data management
What Knowledge & Experience you'll bring to us...
- Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in a technical field
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in IT
- 5 years’ experience implementing and managing IT applications
- 3 years’ experience working with Managed Services Providers for application support
- Broad IT application management experience, with particular emphasis in the Life Sciences industry.
- Excellent management, leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.
- Experience working in a regulated environment and understanding of SOX, GxP, and Sunshine Act reporting
- Experience working with Clinical, QA, Regulatory, Sales, Marketing, or Market Access groups within pharmaceutical industry
- Experience implementing and managing Veeva suite of products
- Knowledge of Master Data Management solutions such as Veeva Network, Reltio, Informatica desired
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence reporting solutions such as Tableau, QlickView, Cognos desired
- Experience working in environment using MDM (HCP/HCO), DW, BI, and Data Aggregator desired
- Understanding of Pharmaceutical Industry and Specialty Pharmacy dispensed drugs highly desirable
- Excellent presentation, communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Experience in designing and implementing large, complex enterprise applications highly desired
- Excellent management, leadership, organizational, communication and customer service skills and the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, Azure, Mobile Device Management, SharePoint, and OKTA SSO

Salary : $180,000 - $220,000
