Position: Resident Care Manager
Location: Gig Harbor, WA
Specialty: Assisted/skilled nursing
Schedule: 5x8 hour day shifts with some rotating weekends
Duration: This is a full-time, permanent position
Pay: $95k-$125k annually depending on experience

Responsibilities:
- High level of customer service.
- Serving as a direct supervisor to skilled nursing assistants, helps with hiring, counseling, and termination activities and decisions.
- Monitoring resident care needs and documentation. Identifying and responding quickly and in an appropriate manner to changes in condition.
- Monitoring performance and documentation of the nursing staff in caring for residents and assuring all resident's rights are honored and nursing services are provided that allow residents to attain or maintain their highest practical level of physician mental and psychosocial well-being.
- Taking primary responsibility for monitoring and responding to resident skin conditions.
- Collaborating with physicians, social workers, mental health providers, dentists, and other health care professionals to ensure resident care plans are carried out.
- Working with social services upon admission, transfer, and discharge.
- Assisting with reviewing appropriateness of new admissions, inputting orders from physicians, ensuring medications are ordered and available for residents, and assisting in developing the resident care plans.
- Collaborating with MDS nurse manager to ensure documentation necessary for the MDS is accurate and timely.
- Participating with interdisciplinary team meetings, including clinical team meetings, stand-up, and PDPM review meetings.
- Participating in nurse management weekend rotation on-call duties and nurse management daily rounding.
- Participating in chart audits as assigned by the director of nursing to ensure federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications:
- Current Washington State nursing license
- Graduate of an accredited institution with a licensed nurse program
- Able to read, write, and understand English.
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to skilled nursing facilities and long-term care.
- Possess leadership and supervisory abilities and a willingness to work harmoniously with all other personnel.
