Responsibilities
Basic Purpose
Directs the safe, efficient, and cost effective maintenance of generating station electrical and/or mechanical equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures that company's facilities and equipment are operating effectively:
- Plans, organizes and evaluates operations of company facilities and equipment.
- Ensures that maintenance is accurately scheduled and assigned, that outside contractors are contracted with as needed and that the repair parts and materials are correctly identified and ordered to support scheduled work.
- Coordinates scheduled maintenance with the Operations Manager as not to conflict with plant operational requirements.
Estimates material and labor costs for repairs, replacements, and improvements.
Prepares an annual maintenance budget that funds all forecasted maintenance necessary to ensure the plant meets its annual electrical generating capacity requirements
Maintains equipment inventory and works closely with the plant accountant and purchasing staff to ensure that all invoices accurately reflect the costs of goods and services
Responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of plant generation equipment
Performs related duties as assigned.
Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company.
Monitors and enforces all compliance requirements for area of responsibility.

Requirements
Essential Education, Skills, and Environment
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in the area of specialty and 6-8 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 2 years of supervisory or project management experience.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
In depth knowledge of OSHA policies and procedures. In depth knowledge of power plant operations and maintenance procedures.
Equipment and Applications
PCs, word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Requires work near moving parts, with toxic or caustic chemicals, in outdoor weather conditions, and near extreme heat. Some exposure to loud noises required.

Compensation
Annual Salary: $113,100.00 (Min) to $133,000.00 (Mid); Up to 15% Short Term Incentive Plan target opportunity at the discretion of the company. This is a non-represented position.
