The position assists the technical staff and veterinarians as needed to provide a safe and well maintained environment for our patients and team.
Job Responsibilities
- Assisting surgery technician’s with recovery of patients
- Performing frequent temperature, pulse, and respiration monitioring on all recoverying surgical patients
- Commucniating patient recovery status to technicians and/or DVMs
- Taking patients out for walks or breaks
- Daily and regularly cleaning and sanitizing of kennels and treatment
- Unpacking and stocking inventory including pharmacy medications, medical equipment, and hospital supplies
- Washing, drying, and folding hospital laundry
- Vacuuming and or mopping treatment, rooms, offices and surgical floors
- Emptying trash
- Cleaning outside potty station and surrounding area
- Cleaning and sanitizing hospital rooms including: surgery, treatment, and bathrooms
- Holding and restraining patients for staff
- Escorting patients to cars, lobby, or rooms
- Filling prescriptions under the supervision of veterinary staff
- Assisting technical staff and veterinarians as needed
Skills and Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to handle the physical and emotional aspect of work in a veterinary clinic environment, including the use of euthanasia.
- Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time and assist with restraint of patients.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
Pay $17.29-$18.50/hour
Salary : $17 - $19
