TRANSPORTATION DRIVER needed for care facility organization in Redding to transport adult clients who may be in wheelchairs, or otherwise require special assistance in getting in or out of Company vehicles. Will ensure that scheduled transportation is implemented appropriately and timely with resident safety and security the primary priority. Will be responsible for keeping vehicles and equipment maintained, ensuring the vehicle has necessary supplies, timely and accurate completion of required shift forms. Maintain open communication with supervisor, Program Directors at the houses and staff at Day Programs.
Must be flexible with scheduling (i.e. split-shift), willing to learn, follow direction and have a strong work ethic; ability to react calmly and effectively in difficult situations. Must maintain professional appearance and attitude when working for and representing NVDS. This position is starting at 20-30 hours per week, with the potential to turn into full time.
Must be at least 21 years of age and have good driving record to qualify for coverage under NVDS, Inc. auto insurance while driving Company vehicles. Must pass pre-employment background check, pre-employment physical and be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Must have a current valid CA Driver's License, provide current DMV printout with employment application and be able to obtain a CPR/First Aid card. Must maintain a clean driving record.
