The Global Lean Manager will need to reside near our Solon, OH campus.
What You Will Experience In This Position
- Lead, provide, and drive the application of Lean Principles and Methods for the EFS (Electrical, Fastening and Solutions) segment.
- Facilitate, train and lead Strategy Deployment Activity for all EFS sites. Oversee the annual Strategic Deployment process including enterprise value stream mapping & transformation planning
- Convert corporate strategy deployment goals into segment team actions
- Train domestic and global sites in Lean transformation philosophy, approach, activity and appropriate transformation tools
- Lead change management activities (create transition plans from current to future state and execute)
- Lead / develop Transformation Planning for targeted improvement areas
- Identify, develop, and implement opportunities for improvement
- Manage Global Portfolio of OCOGS projects to ensure proper achievement of results
- Drive plants and sites toward improved waste elimination, in manufacturing and business processes.
- Work with nVent leadership to identify opportunities, execute action plans, follow-up and assure achievement of enterprise goals.
- Develop & maintain a Kaizen Calendar system to plan, support and execute events including the follow-up on open items from all KAIZEN events, assuring they are completed or planned into a future event as needed.
- Bachelor degree in Operations Management or related field is a must. Master’s degree preferred.
- 7 years business process or manufacturing continuous improvement experience
- Must be willing to travel at least 30%
- Six-Sigma knowledge
- Lean Champion certification or willingness to obtain certification a plus
- Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts
- Strong project management and project leadership experience
- Ability to build relationships and influence all levels in the organization
- Knowledge with demonstrated skills in using and teaching Six Sigma, Lean tools, and Quality system controls.
- Ability to utilize strong written and verbal communication skills, work in a team and facilitate team development.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to drive results and influence others to meet strategic objectives
- Ability to teach and facilitate groups using data for decision making
- Ability to work cross-functionally in the organization.
- Analytical skills and business financial knowledge a plus.
- Application of lean principles to non-manufacturing and non-traditional situations
- Skilled in full cycle process/project management, planning and change management
- Ability to effectively plan, direct and coordinate to changing demands and circumstances activates across cross functional teams and departments
- Provide leadership and influence to others.
