The Business Development Liaison reports to the Director of Business Development and under Director’s direction is responsible for:
- Maximizing the value of an identified set of accounts/territory, through relationship-building
- Achieving budgeted goals for targeted services
- Identifying and developing new opportunities
- Gathering marketplace intelligence
- Collaborating effectively with others to enhance agency performance and supporting the NVNA Health brand
The liaison is the “face” of the organization to many key stakeholders and must be knowledgeable and articulate in all products and services and able to effectively “cross-sell” and make appropriate recommendations in a variety of circumstances. Providing exceptional service and education
The Business Development Liaison will:
- Utilize marketplace data, agency data and personal marketplace knowledge to develop plans, strategies and tactics to achieve agreed-upon volume targets.
- Manage personal schedule, individual accounts and territories to maximize the most beneficial “touches,” including on-site visits, email, text, telephone and video contacts. Maintain HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
- Establish productive relationships with key decision-makers, influencers and day-to-day work-flow contacts at referral sources and community partners.
- Connect key stakeholders to the Director of Business Development, helping to build multi-level relationships at referral sources and community partners.
- Participate with other members of the liaison and clinical operations teams to manage “jointly owned” accounts, enhancing the realization of growth potential through collaborative efforts.
- Work with Director of Business Development to recommend and develop marketing collateral to effectively convey agency features and benefits to key audiences in support of strategic and business development plans.
- Monitor competitors, referral sources and sales trends to evaluate and adjust sales plans accordingly. Recommend new initiatives based upon opportunities
- Provide feedback for liaison team regarding marketplace intelligence, best practices and new opportunities that may benefit from collaboration.
- Troubleshoot customer service and operational issues, engaging appropriate staff in their resolution.
- Review referral/admission data to ensure goals are met. Provide analysis to Director of Business Development on performance goals and forecasting.
- Collaborate with the Intake staff to ensure high levels of customer service and communication to maintain positive relations with referral sources and ensure effective care transitions.
- Provide reports as requested. Recommend revisions to existing reports or assist in the development of new reporting
- Utilize enabling technologies, including Marketplace Data, reports, texting, email, etc to ensure up-to-date knowledge of key data and effective communication.
- Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of and comfort level with agency products and services. Able to effectively recommend, educate/explain and achieve buy-in from potential referral sources and clients.
- Appropriately engages colleagues in individual circumstances and ongoing work processes to ensure expertise is leveraged efficiently and effectively, maximizing the overall value to the organization.
- Represents the agency on various committees and at community events when requested or agreed-upon.
- Assures agency compliance with all federal and state laws as well as adhering to the Norwell Visiting Nurse Association, Inc. Corporate Compliance policy
- Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

- Strong ability to work in collaboration with all levels of health care staff to develop, maintain and grow the collaborative circle throughout our territory.
- Proven sales successes in the region, demonstrated by having a network of relatable contacts
- Desire to want to provide extraordinary customer service to ensure all individuals are given the opportunity to learn about and receive the care they desire/need.
- Ability to perform as an influencing sales representative.
- Ability to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategies.
- Ability to be a knowledgeable representative of the organization’s products and services.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree; masters preferred
- RN preferred
Experience:
- Experience developing and implementing sales initiatives within HealthCare.
- Knowledge of home health and hospice preferred
