What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Tech/Engineering Support position at NVT Group?
- SUMMARY
IT Tech to work with IT Consultant and TEAM Corporation Engineering to provide IT services to the NVT Group computer users and employees. IT Tech will assist TEAM Engineering with ERP processes and other Engineering tasks. This position will report to the Team Corporation Engineering Manager in Burlington WA.
On occasion you will be required to travel to California to provide IT Services to NVT Group company DATA Physics. Other occasional travel may be required.
- ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
This position is expected to work well with all departments in the NVT Group including engineering, sales, production, accounting purchasing and field service.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor, escalate, update, triage and manage a IT support ticket queue
- Assists in the development and documentation of IT procedures, training
- Configure new desktop/Laptops for new hires.
- Onboard new users
- Monitor IT remote management system and attend to or escalate appropriate resources
- Monitor daily backups. Engage third party for issue resolution
- Update IT documentation as needed
- Resolve Tier 1 tickets (account creation, password resets, printer issues, network access troubleshooting.
- Work under general supervision and apply network engineering and architecture knowledge on diverse problems
- Perform routine inventory, labeling and maintenance routines on IT inventory.
- Responds to end user calls as a first tier or technical support, gathering information to resolve issues, and /or assisting others in the resolution of the problem.
- Responsible for the daily support of network and workstation operating systems, workstation connectivity and tier 1 end user applications. Excellent communications skills
- Processing Engineering orders and projects using ERP System
- Release & Pre-Release engineering drawings to Production
- Establishing, maintaining, and creating manufacturing and purchase part numbers
- Cleaning up purchased parts prior to release in ERP System by identifying duplicate part numbers
- Add BOMs & Items to orders and maintain Engineering BOMs by cleanup of BOMs that were converted from Access DB when ERP System was implemented
- Organize Engineering historical digital hand drawings
- Work with Service to identify service replacement ITEMs and process in ERP System
- SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
- 5 years of experience with Windows desktop and servers.
- Proficient basic Networking terms
- EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- AA Degree in IT field or similar
- CompTIA A Cert preferred
