Job Description

nWay is currently looking for a VP of Business Development to drive video game development/publishing deals with third parties and key Web3 gaming partnerships. This position reports to nWay’s CEO and will work alongside other department heads as part of the leadership team to help shape the business strategy of the company.

Responsibilities

As VP of Business Development, you will:

  • Identify, evaluate and close new business development opportunities including proactively finding new partnerships and onboarding game partners (developers, Web3 brands and vendors) to the nWayPlay platform.
  • Build a portfolio by signing new deals to fill the nWay long term roadmap.
  • Negotiate all third-party deals including game development/publishing agreements, IP licensing agreements and brand partnerships.
  • Partner with the head of Creative/Production and Marketing/Sales to make sure each group's needs are met in all business partnerships and agreements.
  • Demonstrate expertise in complex legal and business issues in contracts and create win-win solutions with partners.
  • Able to come up with new business models that can be incorporated into gaming agreements.
  • Be nimble in a rapidly changing, fast-paced, highly ambiguous environment.
  • Be able to juggle multiple projects at the same time and prioritize quickly.
  • Account manage partners and be the primary business point of contact.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years in Business Development, Entertainment and Gaming roles.
  • Ideal candidate has business development, partnership management and business strategy experience in gaming on various platforms.
  • Have a strong network in video games, Web3 brands and the entertainment industry.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, trends, competition and new business opportunities within the gaming industry.
  • Deep knowledge of gaming business models and game partnership deal types.
  • Exceptional entrepreneurial and analytical skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving goals and leading a team to successful outcomes.Be a self-starter and be self-motivated.
  • Be a hunter, not a gatherer.

Pluses

  • Pre-existing experience and knowledge of Web3 gaming, NFTs and blockchain ecosystems.
  • Industry thought leader.
  • Passionate about gaming or Web 3 space.
