Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Purchasing and Inventory Control within our team. This position requires someone to manage a branch's inventory levels, whether in their warehouse or spread over other locations, working with our Purchasing Team. This position also demands attention to detail during scheduled inventories and reconciliation. The role may involve occasional travel, with potential overnight stays, all of which will be covered by Nwestco, LLC.

Job Qualifications:

• Experience in supply chain, purchasing, or warehousing.

• Experience in wholesale distribution is a plus.

• Analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to process complex information.

• Strong problem-solving and judgment skills, particularly in dealing with highly intricate data.

• Experience in cycle counting of products.

• Demonstrated attention to detail, a deadline-driven mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Responsive communication skills for addressing both internal and external customer queries.

• Proficient phone and computer skills.

• Preferred experience in maintaining vendor relationships.

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past 5 years is required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage supply chain and purchasing activities for warehouse and technician trucks.

• Monitor inventory levels and trends to ensure sufficient stock for customer demands.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and operations, to align inventory levels with business objectives.

• Administer purchasing orders and handle purchase requisitions.

• Develop, implement, and oversee purchasing strategies per company objectives and goals.

• Foster and maintain relationships with vendors, overseeing their performance.

• Analyze and manage inventory levels, as well as monitor inventory performance.

Job Details:

• Location: Portland, Oregan

• Schedule: Full Time, Monday to Friday

• License: Valid driver’s license (required)

• Travel: This position may require occasional travel for inventory to other offices or remote locations.

• Ability to pass pre-employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.
