The Executive Assistant and Board Liaison provides administrative support and coordination to the Action Fund Executive Director while maintaining a high level of confidentiality. Duties include project management, managing schedules, coordinating meetings and events, and working with other staff across the NWF network on opportunities that advance the organizations’ mission. In addition, the position is the primary administrative liaison to the NWF Action Fund Board of Directors and its committees. This position is often connected to many key stakeholders, communicating via phone, email and in person to help maintain strong and professional relationships for the Action Fund.
This position reports to the Action Fund Executive Director as part of a unique opportunity to be a key part of a dynamic and visionary team to help advance some of the most important conservation campaign strategies of our time.
Responsibilities Include:
- Proactively support the Executive Director with administrative duties, including tracking and flagging deadlines, and playing an active role in managing calendars to ensure relevant stewardship of all key stakeholders. This includes coordinating multiple internal and external calendars and setting and enforcing priorities and standards.
- Serve as the main point of contact for managing, facilitating and coordinating logistics for all Board-related meetings and events, including coordinating and drafting written board updates.
- Write individualized correspondence and other documents as requested by the Executive Director.
- Work with the Executive Director and Board Members to support all board committee meetings, including scheduling, sharing information and agendas, and taking and distributing notes.
- Coordinate C4 fundraising outreach with the C3 Philanthropy Team.
- Coordinate meetings for the Executive Director including material preparation, scheduling, and supporting logistics as needed.
- Serve as liaison between various sub teams within Development on reports and reporting needs, working with the fundraising data team to create and maintain reports.
- Serve as the Board Development Committee liaison and help implement their charter, including scheduling regular meetings, sharing notes and other key information.
- Support the Senior Vice President of Development in their major gifts fundraising efforts and Board committee engagement by securing meetings, scheduling calls, and managing all necessary follow up for donors in the SVP’s portfolio.
- Work directly with Board Chair, Development Committee Chair, and other board members on high touch stewardship for top tier donors.
- Oversee special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

- Ability to be both assertive and diplomatic- able to organize principles for meetings and nail down dates and details.
- Proficiency in MS Office and a general familiarity with donor databases is helpful.
- Demonstrated executive support experience.
- Proven ability to work effectively across cultures, positions, and industries with the highest degree of professionalism and grace.
- Passion for conservation and politics is a plus.

Travel Requirements:
Some travel with the DC metro area required and potential for 2-3 trips within the United States.

This position is based out of our National Advocacy Center in Washington, DC. Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000, commensurate with experience.
