Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining equipment by successfully completing preventative maintenance tasks and troubleshooting and making necessary repairs to equipment that has stopped functioning due to a mechanical failure.
Essential Functions
- Complete PM tasks as assigned via the E-maintenance system
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and repair as necessary
- Work with operations team to understand production and equipment needs
- Assist in the setup and operation of new equipment
- Assist in root cause analysis of quality and efficiency issues
- Work independently on continuous improvement tasks
Additional Responsibilities
- Other duties as assigned by the leadership team
Qualifications
- Two years experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for the upkeep and repair of equipment
- Electrical and mechanical experience
- Machining experience preferred
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to complete projects from concept to completion
- Hands-on experience working with close tolerance requirements
- Machining skills preferred
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Able to work in a team environment and fulfilling objectives with minimum direct supervision
