I’m seeking a paid caregiver (Direct Service Provider) for my daughter, 11. She has a mild intellectual disability and a medical condition that restricts her from participating in high impact physical activities. This is a 1-on-1 position paid at $17-$20/hr.
If you work in the care field—daycare, senior care—this is a great chance to work in a less-hectic environment with a single person and really make a difference in their lives.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Showing care, compassion, and encouragement to a person with special needs.
-Supervision in the home and out in the community.
-Transportation to activities, special events, and appointments (mileage reimbursable).
-Assistance with personal care (hygiene, grooming, toileting).
-Assisting with or providing household responsibilities to include, but not limited to: meal preparation and cooking, cleaning, grocery & supply shopping, etc.
-Promote healthy living through implementing plans for nutrition, exercise, and activities.
-Ensure the safety of the person at home and in the community.
Qualifications:
-High School diploma or GED is required. Valid NYS driver’s license and personal transportation is required.
-Ability to work independently, demonstrate sound judgment and complete necessary documentation.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
