Your Team:
The Office of Enforcement and Neighborhood Services (OENS) leads the agency’s effort to works closely with other HPD divisions and outside community partners to identify buildings in distress, assess, and develop appropriate strategies to address those properties and work closely with responsible owners to develop a plan to improve conditions and return buildings to firm financial footing and physical health. OENS uses enforcement tools within its Division of Code Enforcement, Housing Litigation Division, Emergency Operations Division, the Division of Neighborhood Preservation, and the Division of Special Enforcement to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.

Preservation Services Exec Office (EXEC), Data Management & Technology (DMT), Division of Neighborhood Preservation (DNP), Administration & Internal Compliance (AIC), Housing Litigation Division (HLD), Division of Code Enforcement (DCE), Emergency Operations Division (EOD), and Division of Special Enforcement (DSE).

Under the direct supervision, the selected candidates will be responsible for assisting with various administrative activities related to the necessary repairs for the improvement of poor housing conditions through the Environmental Hazards Unit (EHU) or the Emergency Repair Program (ERP) within the Emergency Operations Division.

Your Role:
Your role will be a Community Associate-Lead Law 464B in the Emergency Operations Division, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Your Responsibilities:
- Attach and scan relevant documents into HPDINFO using Microsoft Applications.
- Answering phones and responding to inquiries from tenants and contractors.
- Responding to complaints regarding environmental hazard issues, and emergency repairs.
- File and maintain various tracking reports.
- Update tracking reports and complete data entry assignments.
- Check records for accuracy of information, and for conformity with established policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the resolution of vendor payments, issues initiated by the Vendor, Engineering Audit Division and Accounts Payable Unit.
- Communicating with vendors and site offices to obtain information and resolve payment disputes.
- Preparing and sending letters to the vendors, reviews forms and documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Routing violations and OMOs to inspectors for them to inspect, scope and monitor emergency and environmental hazardous conditions and monitor the contract repair.
- Assisting the Routing Supervisor in ensuring addresses are accurate before route sheets are assigned to inspectors.

1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in working with Windows applications.
- Bilingual and possession of good communication skills.

Candidates may be assigned to any office within the 5 boroughs and may be assigned to work evenings and weekends.
