The Conflicts of Interest Board is the independent New York City agency tasked with administering, enforcing and interpreting Chapter 68 of the New York City Charter, the City's Conflicts of Interest Law, and Section 12-110 of the Administrative Code, the City's Annual Disclosure Law.
Through a combination of engaging training, confidential advice, and vigorous enforcement, the Board seeks to prevent ethics questions from becoming ethics problems for public servants.
This is a rare opportunity for an attorney to develop a broad portfolio of litigation skills while promoting trust and integrity in government operations.

The New York City Conflicts of Interest Board is looking to hire a prosecutor to join its Enforcement team.

It’s the small-but-scrappy independent City agency that works to keep New York City government’s 300,000 employees in compliance with the City’s ethics laws.
What you’ll do:
You’ll join the Board’s Enforcement Unit as one of its independent prosecutors. Under the mentorship of an experienced legal team, you will handle cases from initial complaint to their final disposition, including going to trial. You will analyze complaints and work with investigators. You will write memoranda, charging documents, and settlement agreements. You will represent the Board at settlement conferences and at trials.
Your work will give you wide exposure to the workings of City government and many opportunities to work with attorneys at other City agencies.
Compensation:
· Annual salary of $ 63,228 - $ 79,000, commensurate with experience;
· Generous benefits package, including pension; health, dental, and vision insurance, paid family leave, and deferred compensation.
