Job Title: ASSEMBLER
Location - York, Pennsylvania, United States,17404
Shift Timing: - 7am-3:30pm
This position will work to assemble finished product using components, sub-assemblies, fasteners, and package material following standard operation procedures and safety practices in compliance with company policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Follow all pertinent Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
- Review all SOP's and work instructions to determine required assembly finish on product and special options as needed.
- Check stock bins for adequate supplies of sub-assemblies, parts, and fasteners for the particular shop order.
- Check for availability of designated carton pack.
- Contact Group Leader or Supervisor if there are shortages, incorrect parts and/or non-conforming materials in the bins.
- Check line equipment, machinery and hand tools as needed to determine safe operating condition prior to use.
- Start up, operate, and shut down equipment in line with Company safety procedures for equipment under power.
- Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts, and sub-assemblies, per shop order.
- Pack finished product into designated cartons, and insert pre-printed materials in carton of each finished product.
- Complete production reporting following Company guidelines. Accurate record keeping to include time spent and material used.
- Maintain acceptable output average to specific production standards.
- When line is down, may perform product repair on items assign by Group Leader or Supervisor.
- Performs related work and other duties as required.
