Job Description:

The Social Worker in the Behavioral Health Outpatient Department works in conjunction with the Psychiatrist to provide psychosocial assessment and ongoing therapeutic intervention for individual and groups. Some of the duties listed below but not limited to the following;

• Complete intake psychosocial assessments, develop treatment goals with the clients and provide ongoing evidence based therapeutic intervention in both the individual and group settings
• Obtain collateral information as needed.
• Provide supervision to social work interns.
• Maintain required chart documentation in a timely manner.
• Be an active part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Attend monthly Social Work staff meeting and biweekly departmental OPD meetings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

For Assignment to Level III
1. Valid license as an LCSW issued by the NYSED.
