The Assembly Republican Conference is looking for a highly motivated and qualified candidate to fill the position of Computer Specialist with our Automation unit.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Providing training to end-users on how to effectively use computer systems and applications
- Performing hardware/software installations, as well as printers, scanners, and VOIP phones
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing hardware/software issues and providing solutions
- Researching and testing new trends in technology
- Documenting issues and updating resolutions in ticket tracking system and following up with end-users to ensure issues are resolved
- Occasional travel to District and Regional offices throughout the state may be required
Required qualifications:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs as needed
- Ability to crawl under desks and work in tight spaces
- A basic working knowledge of PC computer systems, hardware, software and networking, and Apple products
- Proficient with Windows 10 and Office 365
- Solid problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal as well as written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently
- Skilled in efficiently prioritizing and executing tasks
- Candidates must be patient, proactive, have a strong work ethic and possess a team attitude
- Ability to work long hours when needed
Desired skills/qualifications:
- Experience in customer service or call center setting
- Some familiarity with hosting Video Conferencing applications
- Basic knowledge of Remote Access Desktop Software (KACE, TeamViewer, Quick Assist, etc.)
Occasional overtime may be required. There is room for growth and advancement for individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
