We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable Personal Injury Lawyer to join our team in Petaluma, CA. This position is mostly remote with an occasional need to come to the office in Petaluma for trial prep, mediations, etc. Must be licensed to practice in California. Looking for candidates living anywhere in California.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • College degree in law, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years of legal experience.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to write clear, concise, and effective legal correspondence.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as insurance policies, pleadings, discovery, and discovery responses.
  • Knowledge of the law relating to personal injury and property rights.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to work with clients of all ages and in a variety of settings.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work in a varied environment with many changes throughout the day.
  • Must be able to work under pressure deadlines.
  • Must be able to meet the needs of the client with empathy and compassion.
  • Must have excellent time management skills and be able to prioritize tasks as they arise.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills with attention to detail required.

This position is for an attorney who will assist with the preparation of motions, pleadings, responses, discovery, interrogatories, declarations, affidavits, declarations, affidavits, etc., for cases that will be assigned by the lead attorney for court hearings on a regular basis. The position will also include assisting with other duties as assigned by the lead attorney including depositions, mediation sessions and other court proceedings as needed by the firm's attorneys and clients. The position will also include assisting at trial court hearings as needed by the lead attorney for court appearances such as depositions of witnesses or other parties involved in litigation or other matters involving litigation such as mediation sessions or other court proceedings involving mediation as well as other duties as assigned by the lead attorney by assisting at trial court hearings including depositions of witnesses or other parties involved in litigation or other matters involving litigation as well as other duties as assigned by the lead attorney by assisting at trial court hearings including taking notes during sessions and preparing written notes for case files including but not limited to case files for each case that is assigned by the lead attorney including but not limited to: case notes for each case; depositions; motion filings; pleadings; discovery filings; mediation filings; etc., that are related to cases that are assigned by the lead attorney . The position will also include assisting at trials including but not limited to depositions of witnesses or other parties involved in litigation or other matters involving litigation such as mediation sessions or other court proceedings involving mediation as well as other duties as assigned by the lead attorney by assisting at trials including but not limited to depositions of witnesses or other parties involved in litigation or other matters involving litigation as well as other duties as assigned by the lead attorney by assisting at trials including but not limited to taking notes during sessions and preparing written notes for case files including but not limited to case files for each case that is assigned by the lead attorney. The position will also include assisting at mediation sessions and other court proceedings with mediators that are part of mediator training programs such as Petaluma, CA's Community Mediators Project (CMP) which provides training on how to conduct mediations from which you may be able to later apply your knowledge gained through CMP's training into your own practice.'

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
