O’Connell’s is looking to add another Per-Diem RN to our Greenfield team to help support our expanding nursing needs in Franklin County (5-10 hours per week on average with opportunity to increase that if desired).
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Measure and record patients’ vital signs.
• Medication management including medication dispenser and planner pre-fills.
• Assist with bed positioning, standing, walking of patients and provide education and instruction to caregivers of proper techniques.
• Completes documentation timely, accurately, and at the point of care, according to industry standards, conventions, and guidelines.
• Schedule, document, and complete quarterly field staff supervision.
• Complete new client assessments, care plans, and updates as necessary.
• Coordinate case management of clients in collaboration with Director of Nursing and Office staff.
• Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement.
• Performs additional related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• Must possess a current RN License in Massachusetts and maintain credential throughout employment.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Driver’s License, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable registered vehicle
• Willingness and ability to travel around Franklin County to various client homes
• Minimum of two years’ experience in the health care field; home healthcare preferred.
• Ability to maintain a professional relationship with co-workers, caregivers, clients and family members, as well as other health care professionals and management.
• Must have great attention to detail and proper documentation skills.
• Must be reliable and honor commitments.
• A reliable cell phone, email, and ability to use agency’s programs (Wellsky) to document and chart as needed.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Possess a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a desire to be an effective member of the team.
• Cognitive skills as related to the position.
