Business Analyst

PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAJOR FACTORS IN EVALUATING PERFORMANCE:

Perform various analysis and interpretation to link business needs and objectives for assigned function.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform all required duties and responsibilities utilizing the highest ethical standards.

Support business initiatives through data analysis, identification of implementation barriers and user acceptance testing of new systems.

Identify and analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing processes.

Perform detailed analysis on assigned projects, recommended potential business solutions and assist with implementation.

Identify ways to enhance performance management and operational reports related to new business implementation processes.

Secure and maintain the Company network.

Install, maintain, monitor, and upgrade as necessary all Company computer software.

Install and maintain network cables to all devices.

Configure all user permissions based on authorities as granted by Company management.

Maintain a current fixed asset listing of all computer systems; users; hardware; software licenses and renewal dates.

Assist in the daily maintenance and functionality improvements needed to utilize the Company VOIP phone system to its' optimum performance levels.

Provide 24/7 maintenance to the Company information gathering systems.

Safe Guard all Company privileged information and equipment from theft, both actual and electronic; from viruses; from invasive worms; internal and external hackers; etc.

Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.

Assist in the training of Company personnel in the efficient and effective use of Company provided software and hardware.

Periodically review all computer software installed on Company owned equipment. Only Company owned and licensed software should be installed on Company hardware. All others should be removed. Notify management of any deviations from accepted policy.

Maintain a current listing of all applicable software licenses for software currently installed on Company hardware and keep them current.

Assist the Castit personnel as required.

Secure and maintain adequate subcontracted backup as needed in an emergency our incumbent absence in order to provide ongoing system services as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

High School degree or equivalent as a minimum; an advanced degree (AA or four year undergraduate) in Information Technology desired; an MCDBA, MCP, MCSA, or an MCAS certification preferred; or the equivalent in experience.

Experienced with a CISCO VOIP telecommunications system; networking; Backup Exec software; wireless networking; Tcp/IP; CISCO switches; firewall design and protections, etc..

Must possess above average communicative and organizational skills.
