Sales Operations Manager
O’Rourke Sales Company is currently seeking an experienced Sales Operations Manager to help lead our sales team at our Davenport, IA location. We need a self-motivated professional with proven managerial experience and an outstanding track record in sales. In this position, you will be responsible for meeting our annual sales targets within inside sales, assigned regions, and accounts.
Job Summary:
Your duties will include executing strategic sales plans, assessing costs and competition, motivating our inside sales team, and other duties assigned by VP of Sales. In addition to being an excellent communicator, our ideal candidate will also demonstrate exceptional sales and leadership skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate insides sales team
- Establish an inside sales training program to train new employees
- Develop and promote weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales objectives and promotions
- Draft detailed and accurate sales reports
- Implement strategic plans to reach sales targets
- Cultivate lasting relationships with customers to grow customer loyalty and better understand their business needs and goals
- Assess the industry, competition, and supply and demand to identify opportunities
- Secure and communicate industry comparative analysis and market intelligence
- Meet with sales team to assess company performance
- Help assist with team on warranty service issues
- Manage service needs for variety of brands including warranty issues and returns needs
- Assist the VP of Sales with a variety of projects and tasks
- Report on sales results (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually)
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or a relevant field preferred
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of Sales and marketing techniques and best practices
- Inside Sales experience with excellent phone and video calling skills
- Knowledge of how freight and returns relate to the sales cycle
- Capacity to manage various projects and work to tight deadlines
- Excellent negotiation and leadership skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel nationwide on a monthly basis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Individual must be able to thrive in a team environment and demonstrate an ability to generate innovative ideas.
