Who You Are

We are looking for a talented Technical Planner to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will take the lead in planning and coordinating construction projects specifically tailored for technology spaces. The Technical Planner will create detailed project plans, manage budgets, coordinate with architects and engineers, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will be at the forefront of shaping the future of technology spaces, contributing to a sustainable, efficient, and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will have AutoCAD and design and planning experience in a technology space with the ability to work collaboratively with the end-user.

 

What you will do:

  • Fully understand the end user’s requirements and details of their request.
  • Identify the infrastructure and facility needs through a review of equipment specifications and communication with end users and equipment vendors.
  • Coordinate meetings needed on behalf of end users during the project design phase.
  • Organize and manage necessary project documentation including meeting minutes, shop drawings, installation checklists, etc.
  • Collect and support mitigation of any potential risks or outstanding issues related to tool installations and provide support for technical questions utilizing existing resources.
  • Depending on the characterization and function of the required tools, sync with client teams to explore alternate plans and potential solutions if possible and support technical program changes as necessary.
  • Upon approval of new tool requirements, collaborate with internal and external teams and project consultants to complete the technical program for the project. 
  • Develop scopes of work for approved projects and develop a technical program needed to execute the project.
  • Work with end users to kick-off technical planning for each project and provide regular updates of the project status.
  • Support the PM team during design and construction and help support and document solutions to any issue or RFI that may arise during the execution of the project.
  • Lead or assist with developing and accessing procurement strategies and delivery of FF&E or other segments of the client’s budget.
  • Develop and manage tool vendor contact lists, tool startup lists, and schedules.
  • Manage tool vendor technician schedules for assembly, testing, and commissioning.
  • Assist in the coordination of tool deliveries and tool moves.
  • Facilitate involvement of the project’s key stakeholders at appropriate levels and times.
  • Guide design development and construction through the applicable funding requirements and government processes at Federal, State and Local levels.
  • Guide design development through applicable sustainability reviews or building certification preparations to meet project/client requirements.
  • Support client’s project administrative needs as appropriate.
  • Contribute to the program processes and tools that facilitate consistency and quality execution across the project/program.
  • Must have an acceptable driving record. Commuting to various regional job sites/offices may be required.

 

Required Education & Experience

  • BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field from an accredited university or equivalent.
  • 5 years of technical planning and/or construction management experience required.
  • Proficient use of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, required.
  • Smartsheet, Microsoft Project or other scheduling software.
  • Experience with web-based project management tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in management of professional staff.
  • Demonstrated understanding of green and sustainable building practices, LEED™ Accredited Professional a plus.
  • Must have an acceptable driving record. Commuting to various regional job sites/offices may be required.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $90,000/year up to $120,000/year. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
