Oak Hall Cap & Gown, a nationally recognized manufacturer of graduation regalia, is seeking candidates for the full-time position of Payroll Manager at our Salem location. The Payroll Manager will oversee the payroll functions to ensure that pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with regulations.
Key Job Functions:
- Responsible for processing a weekly and bi-weekly payroll (exempt and non-exempt employees)
- Complies with federal, state, and local payroll and wage and hour laws, stays up to date with current laws
- Works with Office Administrators to complete weekly payroll for factory and warehouse employees
- Assists Human Resources with processing new hires, terminations and pay rate changes
- Process unemployment claims from the VEC
- Report any accidents to Worker’s Compensation insurance
- Submit new hires to e-Verify and maintain accurate documentation for all employees
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience in ADP preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Education and Experience Requirements:
- 1-2 years of payroll experience preferred
