The Beautiful Residence Inn/SpringHill Suites by Marriott Greenville Downtown is seeking a dedicated part-time Bartender for their busy Oak & Honey restaurant. The purpose of a Bartender is to maintain the entire bar operation, including, but not limited to, the service of all beverage items, food items, and cashier duties, following both Auro and the Brand standards while ensuring guest satisfaction by providing friendly and courteous service.
Essential Job Functions
- Takes orders from customers or Bar Server.
- Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
- Serves wine and draught or bottled beer.
- Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display.
- Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks.
- Checks food before serving it to the guest to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct.
- Replenishes bar snacks such as chips, pretzels, and nuts.
- Follows AURO Hotels’ beverage standards and procedures
- Makes sure all drinks are rung up properly and collect money for drinks served.
- Follows cash handling responsibilities as dictated by AURO Hotels’ policy.
- Is fully responsible and accountable for an issued bank.
- Fills out beverage requisitions, par and supply lists; assists in monthly inventory.
- Has full knowledge of and fully comply with the state liquor laws.
- Follows proper procedures for ringing guest checks and cash collecting procedures.
- Performs all duties in a safe manner and monitor those actions of others.
- Prepares efficiently and accurately all drinks according to AURO Hotels’ standards · Has knowledge of general house information in order to assist guests at any time.
- Relays any guest complaints/comments to Manager.
- Responsible for the daily maintenance and cleanliness of the bar before, during and after shift.
- Responsible for profitable bar cost by accurate measurement of product. Measure all drinks properly using a jigger. No free pouring!
- Completes opening/closing duties (side work).
- Responsible to never leave bar unattended.
