Lead Dining Room Server

Our community Oakmonte Village in Lake Mary is hiring a Dining Room Lead Server. We provide 3 meals a day to our residents and we are looking for a reliable, responsible person to help in day to day operations of our dining room. We are looking for one full time candidate that has previous serving or supervising experience.

Must be able to work weekends, and holidays when needed.

Summary: Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in preparing and serving balanced meals to residents and employees of facility by performing the following.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities include the following: (Note: Other duties may be assigned.)

Make rounds at mealtime to assess appropriateness of food service presentation and delivery and recommend changes as indicated.

Direct implementation of work standards, sanitation procedures and personal hygiene requirements consistent with County, Stales and Federal Regulations.

Assist Director with orientation of new food service employees.

Check accuracy in item selecting, portion size, temperature, and attractiveness on tray line.

Direct food service staff in loading trays and carts, and in dispatching to resident rooms and dining rooms.

Process diet changes, room changes, admissions and discharges and maintain accuracy.

Post daily menus in dining room and Bistro.

Check and stock pantries.

Assist with in-service education programs.

Make recommendations to Director on evaluation, hiring and termination.

Be available for duty during emergency situation.

Supervisor Responsibilities: Responsible for all wait staff.

Computer skills.

Must be able to operate food service equipment.

Able to stand and walk most of the working day.
