Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Dispatcher Needed
Our company is hiring for a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Dispatcher. In general, the Dispatcher will schedule vehicles to pick up and drop off clients to their appointments safely and on-time. The Dispatcher will be able to look at the particulars of the scheduling needs and make the necessary adjustments. The Dispatcher will be able to take into consideration factors such as the number of passengers per trip, the drivers who are available, the length of the trip, and appointment times. The Dispatcher will work as part of a team to reach transportation benchmarks for the company. Overall the Dispatcher will coordinate transportation scheduling, handling of problems, maintaining effective communications, reporting, and safety.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to,
- Maintains and updates Route Genie dispatch system;
- Maintains data integrity in multiple computer programs, such as Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Dispatches vehicles on various routes based on scheduled clients;
- Completes and coordinates documentation as required;
- Monitors materials, products and equipment and reports irregularities to management;
- Monitors time and attendance records and maintains timesheets and/or reports;
- Assists management as assigned or as needed;
- Enters data via computer and/or handwritten to complete necessary reporting;
- Ensures work area is clean and organized at all times.
- Working knowledge and good understanding of the dispatch system, Route Genie;
- Working knowledge and familiarity of the cities in/around the Pulaski County area;
- Excellent communication skills to listen, speak plainly and clearly, and effectively;
- Commitment to teamwork since the job entails working with a variety of people;
- Ability to keep a level head in a busy environment and rectify issues quickly and efficiently;
- Ability to think ahead and anticipate potential problems, such as during inclement weather;
- Manage time wisely both to be an effective employee and to spot ways transportation routes and procedures could be improved;
- First Aid/CPR certification, a plus.
- Must be able to pass a background check, to include criminal, MVR, and drug;
- Must have a great work history with track record of being a reliable, responsible individual, to include references from previous employers;
- Working knowledge of Route Genie dispatch system, required;
- At least 2 years dispatch experience, preferred;
- At least 2 years transportation experience, preferred;
- Must have previous customer service experience .
