Mechanical Engineer (Surge JLTV)

Job Summary
Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Surge JLTV) to provide engineering design oversight for mechanical engineering-related tasks.
Surge Personnel: In the event the Government exercises options that increase the required staffing levels for any position, the contractor shall provide additional personnel within forty-five (45) calendar days of Government notification. The contractor shall only provide personnel who meet the minimum qualifications required for the position.
The Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) is a Joint Services Program. The United States Army (USA) and the United States Marine Corps (USMC) are the two main proponents of the JLTV Joint Program Office (JPO). JPO JLTV requires a joint service (USA/USMC) PM FP, the Life Cycle Manager for the JLTV Family of Vehicles (FoV) requires services for the procurement, delivery, and sustainment of JLTV systems. This supports implementation and sustainment of current program actions and future programs.
Specific Responsibilities
- Review/approve assigned Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and Requests for Deviation (RFD) in Government Windchill System.
- Review/approve Technical Data Package submissions (drawings).
- Review/approve Component First Article Test (CFAT) plans and reports.
- Review assigned CDRLs.
- Support production and quality teams (vehicle fabrication, assembly, finishing, test, PPAP, CFAT, etc.).
- Support STS Work Directives as assigned.
- Support test activities and work to bring issues to final resolution.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Knowledge in systems engineering and vehicle design.
- Expertise in vehicle mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. To include the development of components and qualification of components at the sub-system and system level.
- Experience with vehicle design change management, technical data packages, GD&T and ASME Y14.5-2009.
- Experience with design and production processes such as PPAP, CFAT, DFMEA, PFMEA, and DVP&R.
- Experience with Army or USMC tactical or combat vehicles integration design development, design review and platform integration activities.
- Experience with technical program management, technical requirements, and managing technical risk and issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
