Job Summary
Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is seeking Security Polygraphers to conduct and administer CI scope polygraph examinations.
NGA is a Department of Defense (DoD) combat support agency and a member of the National Intelligence Community (IC). NGA develops imagery and map-based intelligence solutions for U.S. national defense, homeland security, and safety of navigation. NGA’s mission is to “provide timely, relevant, and accurate geospatial-intelligence in support of national security.”
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Conduct and administer CI scope polygraph examinations and Expanded Scope Screening polygraph examinations to NGA military, civilian and contractor personnel in accordance with NGA’s policies, regulations, and operating instructions.
- Prepare, submit, and maintain clear comprehensive concise and accurate polygraph charts and test results according to Federal regulations.
- Assist in execution of NGA’s polygraph program in accordance with DoD and IC policies and regulations.
- Assist in the education and briefing to the NGA population the polygraph program capabilities.
- Make all necessary data entry of polygraph documentation as required by regulations and NGA policies.
- Must have and maintain Federal polygraph certification.
Level 1
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent w/ < 3 Years Direct Relevant Experience
- Experience with conducting and documenting polygraphs.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to relate to diverse groups of people from different backgrounds and cultures.
- Working knowledge in DoD/Intelligence regulations and familiar with intelligence oversight principles.
- Requires some supervision.
- Proficiency using MS Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook skills.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Verbally reports status to more senior personnel, identifies issues and recommends actions.
Level 2
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent w/ 3 - 6 Years Direct Relevant Experience
- Experience with conducting and documenting polygraphs.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to relate to diverse groups of people from different backgrounds and cultures.
- Working knowledge in DoD/Intelligence regulations and familiar with intelligence oversight principles.
- Knowledge of polygraph regulations.
- Proficiency using MS Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook skills.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Level 3
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent w/ 7 - 10 Years Direct Relevant Experience
- Experience with conducting and documenting polygraphs.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to relate to diverse groups of people from different backgrounds and cultures.
- Working knowledge in DoD/Intelligence regulations and familiar with intelligence oversight principles.
- Knowledge of polygraph regulations and familiar with performing quality control oversight.
- Proficiency using MS Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook skills.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Level 4
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent w/ 11 - 14 Years Direct Relevant Experience
- Experience with conducting and documenting polygraphs. Interpersonal skills and ability to relate to diverse groups of people from different backgrounds and cultures.
- Working knowledge in DoD/Intelligence regulations and familiar with intelligence oversight principles.
- Knowledge of polygraph regulations and familiar with performing quality control oversight.
- Proficiency using MS Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook skills.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Level 5
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent w/ >15 Years Direct Relevant Experience
- Experience with conducting and documenting polygraphs. Strong interviewing, elicitation and analytic skills.
- Ability to analyze complex information and take appropriate action.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to relate to diverse groups of people from different backgrounds and cultures.
- Working knowledge in DoD/Intelligence regulations and familiar with intelligence oversight principles.
- Knowledge of polygraph regulations and familiar with performing quality control oversight.
- Works with little or no supervision and provides assistance/guidance to less experienced polygraphers.
- Proficiency using MS Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook skills.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
