OB/GYN Medical Assistant

Essential duties include:

--greeting patients, taking appropriate medical history and vitals and entering it into EMR (Athena). Run urine analysis and urine pregnancy test.

--Prepare patient and exam room for procedures such as pap smear, colposcopy, EMB/ECC, NST, and fetal sonogram

--Clean, package and sterilize instruments in autoclave as well launder patient gowns using in-office washer and dryer.

--Stock and clean exam rooms and order supplies as needed

--Triage patient calls and document them and send prescription on under physician guidance.

--Schedule surgeries and deliveries at the hospital and schedule appointment request for patients in the office.

--Help out with insurance verification for in-office procedures (colposcopy, hysteroscopy, EMB/ECC, IUD placement, and Novasure ablation) and hospital procedure (hysterectomy, myomectomies, OB deliveries)

We are a one physician and one nurse practioner Ob/Gyn practice that is well established and busy. We are looking for someone to join our work "family". They should have strong communication and customer service skills along with time management skills but above all they should have strong work ethics and be a team player who can multi-task in a fast paced environment. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
