Financial Manager - Level 4

Responsibilities

OBXtek is supporting the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, the MIlitary Communication and Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (MilComm & PNT) Directorate (SSC/CG) with a broad range of financial management capabilities to execute effective and responsive integrated program management of space-related research, development, production, and lifecycle acquisition activities.

This opening is for a Financial Manager- Level 4, who will provide financial management expertise to aid in effective planning, programming, budgeting, and execution for the directorate. Tasks will include performing reconciliation of commitments, obligations, expenditures, and provide budget integration activities to support the Directorate's financial aspects to include international partnership agreements.

The tasks for this position include:

• Assist Government budget integration

• Reconciliation support activities
• Support international partner agreements
• Acquisition reporting

• Provide additional support for budgets, foreign military sales funding, other foreign Government funding, and International Partner Agreements, as well as assist with the timely and accurate analysis, forecast and reporting of commitment, obligation, and expenditure data. Acquisition reporting support includes production of financial management related inputs as required by DoD policy for Acquisition Category I, II, III,, middle tier acquisition (MTA) programs.

Candidate resumes should demonstrate exceptional knowledge and experience with collecting, normalizing, and inputting data, cost modeling, performing in-depth research, reconciling complex data/information across multiple systems and reports, utilization of complex software in the development of analytical models, interpreting results to generate multiple recommended courses of action, comprehending and applying concepts/guidance, successful implementation of instructions/policies into routine performance, and developing tools/applications to foster efficiency in day-to-day activities.

Candidate should have at least 11 years of experience performing financial management and/or budget analysis activities in the government (military and/or civil servant), Federally Funded Research and Development Center, or profit/non-profit government support/development contractor arena, of which a minimum of 8 years should include duties and assignments specifically in support of space programs. AFSPC or SMC experience a plus. 

This position is on-site at LA Air Force Base, El Segundo, CA

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Salary Range: $155k - $163k

Qualifications:

• Active Secret Clearance required
• Masters degree preferred
• Bachelors degree in a related financial field required
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, an Associate's Degree 4 years of work experience may be substituted, or an additional 6 years of work experience
• 11 years of experience in financial management with responsibilities for budget analysis
• Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) a plus
• At least 3 years with CCAAR and GAFS
• At least 3 years FM Suite and WAWF desired
• At least 3 years experience with MS Office
