What You Will Do

Manages inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels. Evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.

The Inventory manager role in Ocado Technology is an organisationally focused role with the following purpose:

• 
  Analyses daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages
• Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports
• Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods; re-stocks items as necessary; labels shelves
• Work closely with regional managers on shortages and to identify consumption changes of the components at sites
• Cutting Purchase orders through Procurify when Purchase Requests are raised
• Following up with the vendors on the orders placed
• Monitor and track shipment and provide tracking details to stakeholders
• Closing Purchase orders when the parts are received.
• Align culture to Ocado Technology values (Collaboration, Trust, Craftsmanship, Learn Fast and Autonomy), setting an example in their own behaviours and leadership team ways of working

• Maintaining and driving a pro-active and open communication channel between the stakeholders and the teams
• Creating forums to encourage the cross-pollination of ideas to improve effectiveness and efficiency

• Coaching teams in how to make intelligent decisions around their function, technology and product/service

Physical Activities:

• Ascending or descending ladders and stairs.
• Moving between worksites to accomplish tasks in tight and confined spaces.
• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for a prolonged period.
• Adjusting or moving objects up to 30 pounds in all directions. Work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more.
• Communicating with others to exchange information.

Environmental Conditions:

• Low temperatures and noisy environments.
