Responsibilities
The Credit Card Operations Specialist assists the Credit Card Team with the daily operations of growing and managing the Credit Card portfolio. Responsibilities include, performing steps related to front end application processing, boarding of new accounts, maintenance of customer accounts on the credit card processing platform, customer service requests and archiving of customer files. Assists with the development and implementation of new credit card products and services, with the development and execution of account acquisition campaigns, including but not limited to, internal training, coordination with service providers and business units, preparation of prospect leads, monitoring/tracking of campaign progress, boarding of accounts and post campaign statistical reporting. Tracks all credit card applications and documentation, including daily entry of approved credit card applications. Reviews daily reports pertaining to Fraud, Lost/Stolen, Card Activation, Card Activity, Rewards Program, Incentives, etc., and makes recommendations for operational efficiencies based on statistical and trends analysis. Works closely with other departments to address operational challenges as product offering and portfolio evolves.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study such as Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering or Finance; or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Banking or Credit Card related experience is preferred.
- Must be detailed-oriented and accurate in a multitask-oriented, deadline mandated environment.
- Ability to respond promptly to customer needs and solicit customer feedback to improve service.
- Ability to handle customer issues in a tactful and professional manner.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and balance team and individual responsibilities.
- Must be able to work overtime, if needed.
- Must be able to implement job related policies and procedures.
- Must possess excellent sales, customer relationship building and customer retention skills.
- Must possess strong organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess good analytical and mathematical skills.
- Must be internet savvy and proficient in MS Software (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Working knowledge of databases preferred (e.g., MS Access)
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.
