Position Responsibilities
- Assists Lead Carpenter in construction, repairs, and installation of structural woodwork and other wood items
- Performs general carpentry work to include repair, fabrication, paneling, ceiling, and other related duties as assigned
- Ensures that all work is completed and of superior craftsmanship
- Removes debris caused by work completed
- Maintains proper care and storage of tools and equipment
- Works closely with Lead to coordinate an efficient and safe work environment
- This position is not authorized to work on gaming equipment
- Promotes positive customer relations for all customers by providing prompt, courteous and efficient service
- Responsible for maintaining accurate property information through daily use of intranet, email and other forms of communication
- Maintenance and repair of, games table railings, chairs, assemble and disassemble games tables supports (legs) when repositioning is required and other duties covered by carpenter's trade as shall be assigned
- Performs maintenance work on games table surfaces and equipment as necessary
- Works with and repairs Plexiglas
- Performance of maintenance/repair to gaming tables in pit area
- Ability to effectively communicate by way of 2-way radio or pager system
- Physical ability and skill to use normal tools and equipment associated with the trade
- Physical ability to enable response to any type of emergency situation or service call
- Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to, secondhand smoke, excessive noise and stress related to servicing customers in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts/hours
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds
- Five (5) years' experience as Commercial/Industrial Carpenter required
- Contractor's License and/or knowledge of state and local building codes required
- Blueprint reading skills required
- Must demonstrate good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
