Job Summary:
The Accounting Intern at Ocean Place Resort & Spa will support and assist the Accounting Department in maintaining accurate financial records and executing daily accounting tasks. This is a full-time, hourly position in Long Branch, New Jersey, and will provide the intern with hands-on experience in the accounting and finance field.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily accounting activities such as recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and processing payments.
- Research and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing financial statements.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, majoring in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Detail-oriented and able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a professional manner.
