Job Summary:
The Activities Director at Ocean Place Resort & Spa is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all recreational activities and events for guests at our resort in Long Branch, New Jersey. This is a full-time, hourly position in the hospitality/restaurant industry. As an individual contributor, the Activities Director will report directly to the Resort Manager and work closely with other departments to provide a memorable and enjoyable experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly activities, events, and programs for guests of all ages and interests.
- Create and distribute a monthly activities calendar to guests and resort staff.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as food and beverage and guest services, to ensure activities and events run smoothly.
- Coordinate and manage all equipment and supplies needed for activities and events.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of activity assistants.
- Communicate with guests to gather feedback and suggestions for future activities and events.
- Maintain a budget and track expenses for activities and events.
- Ensure all activities and events are in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Plan and execute seasonal and holiday events and promotions.
- Keep up-to-date with current local events and attractions to incorporate into the activities program.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in event planning, recreation, or hospitality preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and remain calm under pressure.
- Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
- Must have a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
