Job Summary:
This individual will assist the leadership team in the coordination of operation functions through the administration of daily activities to ensure a continuous operation and execution of production requirements, utilization of labor, customer satisfaction, analysis and problem resolution while maintaining our quality targets and safety standards.
Job Duties:

Regular attendance is an essential function of this position as well as being flexible in working hours and job functions to provide cross position and shift coverage as necessary.
Must demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness and orderliness in performing work assignments and solves problems before they become critical, which will be attained through the demonstration of leadership skills in determining problem-solving solutions which reduce costs, enhance line reliability, ensure quality, maximize yields, and minimize material usage.
Fully understand and become proficient in the use of all computer systems and documentation tools, (i.e. SAP, Red Prairie, MES, OEE, Red Zone, OSC Coding and Labeling verification sheet, etc.) and be able to interpret data and take corrective action.
Respects the opinions, abilities and contributions of others to achieve team decision-making. Interacts with employees with courtesy, respect and positive intent.
Maintains and respects confidentiality with regard to employee information as discussed with leadership
Makes a substantial contribution to the continued operation and growth of the organization by effectively balancing workflow and developing a strong working rapport with others.
Assures that all employees work in a safe manner and environment through regulatory training activities, departmental audits and proper handling of materials.
Ensure that operators are using and have the proper training, material, procedures, and equipment available to properly manufacture and perform quality checks on our products.
Ensure work area is maintaining 5s standards, overall housekeeping, and GMP Guidelines.
Notify Supervisor or Operations Manager when a deviation from the process is noticed and/or the event of a catastrophic emergency.
Sustain Ocean Spray's Positive Release Program to include completion of the shift Positive Release Check Sheet, ensuring that operators complete their lot specific check sheets/documentation, and the compilation of all operator check sheets.
Perform operator duties and line relief as necessary to ensure continuous operations.
Responsible to manage line staffing and make adjustments if needed in order to meet production demands while maintaining adherence to safety and quality policies.
Coach line operators when performance standards/expectations are not being met.
Responsible to ensure planned downtime activities are executed against schedule (i.e. Operator PM’s, CIP’s, SIP’s, etc.)
Assists operators and Supervisor in developing, updating and maintaining departmental procedures to document processes and ensure accountability.
Conduct daily pass-on meetings with shift following outlined script provided by management to maintain consistency in direction.
Partner with supervisors & department leadership team to properly execute routine administration duties to include attendance, staffing, job assignments, recordkeeping, OEE, SAP, Red Prairie, Red Zone, MES and other functions as necessary.
Coordinate the schedule for operator training (i.e. EHS, Specification module training) and assist employees with individualized training as needed to include new hire onboarding.
Issue CIP checklists, assist with CIP of equipment and ensure that operators complete CIP checklists.
Provide detailed shift reports at the end of each shift related to safety, quality and production.
Operate with a continuous improvement mindset aimed at improving safety, quality, output, scrap reduction, etc.
Lead the production team with a sense of urgency. Ensure the production line technicians are properly identifying issues or escalating them when not understood to other departments (i.e. maintenance, engineering, quality)
Initiate or assist with conducting root cause analysis when quality holds are discovered.
Identify process failures and work with production technicians to understand root cause and put counter measure
